CAWR has carried out over 200 projects funded by many sources including the ‘863 program’, ‘973 program’, the National Key Technology Research and Development Programs, the Key Programs of the NSFC, Special programs for National Department Public Benefit Research. The total funding is over 170 million RMB, among them 38 projects of over 1 million RMB each. The group of ‘Coupling Multiple Processes of Hydraulic Cycle and Improving Water Use Efficiency in Agriculture’ was awarded the Outstanding Innovation Group Fund of the NSFC in 2013. The base of Innovation and Introduction of Intelligence from Abroad on Agricultural High-efficient Water Use was selected into the Program of Introducing Talents of Discipline to Universities (‘111 Plan’) co-supported by the Ministry of Education and the Bureau of Foreign Experts Administration.
