 Dr. Li Yunkai, Professor

  Professor Li Yunkai was born in Zhijiang Hunan Province of China on May, 1975. He received the M.S. and Ph.D. degree from China Agricultural University of College of Water Resources and Civil Engineering in 2000 and 2005. He was a visiting scholar in Michigan State University during March, 2013 to March, 2014. He is a doctoral tutor and was selected to the New Century Excellent Talents, Beijing Talents Funding Scheme and Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Star Plans. He is the deputy director of the  Engineering Center of Ministry of Education for Agricultural Water-Saving and Water Resources Ministry of Education Engineering Center for Agricultural Water-Saving and Water Resources.

  He was in charge of 12 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China involves youth fund projects and general projects. He made some progress in water resources and ecology, environment, microbial interdisciplinary research. He has three mainly research directions. They are: (1) Controlling Emitter Clogging and Designing New Products of Drip Irrigation, (2) Environmental Impact for Developing Intensive Irrigated Agriculture, (3) High-efficient and Safe Utilization of Unconventional Water.

  He has published more than 60 papers as the first or corresponding author in Irrigation Science, Transaction of ASABE, and Journal of Hydraulic Engineering and other magazines at home and abroad, in which 23 of the papers have been received by SCI. He won the second prize of National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology and the first, second and third prize of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Awards. He has also been awarded of National Excellent Scientific and Technical Worker, Mao Yisheng Beijing Youth Awards, Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering Youth Science Awards.
