Dr. Chen Minghong, Associate professor
Dr. Chen, Minghong was born in Hubei Province of China on August 27, 1980. He received the B.S. degree from Tsinghua University of Hydraulic and Hydropower Engineering in 2003 and the Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University in 2008. He was as a visiting student in University of Karlsruhe during March to December in 2003, as a visiting scholar in Department of Biological and Environment Engineering, Cornell, USA from September, 2013 to September, 2014. He became an Associate Professor in China Agricultural University in 2011.
His research interests are mainly on the transportation of environmental sediment particles. He has developed theories to improve the description of physical and chemical interactions between environmental sediment and contaminants, established integrated flow, sediment and contaminant transport model to simulate flow dynamics and phosphorus dynamics, applied the theory to flood regulation and water quality management in Beiyun River and Yongding River in Beijing area, China.
