 Dr. Li Fahu, Professor

Professor Li Fahu was born in Henan Province of China on June 22, 1963. He received the B. Sci. Degree and M. Sci. Degree from the College of Water Resources and Civil Engineering, China Agricultural University in June 1984 and June 1992, respectively. He received the Ph.D. at the Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel in Oct., 2000. During Oct. 2000 – Oct. 2001, he experienced a postdoctoral position at the Institute of Soil, Water and Environmental Sciences, the Volcani Center, Israel.

He was a visiting scholar at the College of Water Resources and Hydroelectric Engineering, Wuhan University during Sept. – Dec. 1987, as a visiting scientist at the Institute of Soil, Water and Environmental Sciences, the Volcani Center, Israel during May 1995 – June 1996, and as a visiting professor in University of California (Riverside), USA from May, 2010 to April, 2011.

He was an assistant engineer during 1984 – 1989 and research engineer during 1990 – 2000, respectively, in Farmland Irrigation and Drainage Institute, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences & the Ministry of Water Conservation, China. From 2001 to 2007, he was an associate professor in China Agricultural University, and he became a professor from 2008 in China Agricultural University.

His research Interests are mainly on water-saving agriculture, soil and water conservancy, and agricultural soil and water environments. He has published 60 papers and 6 books, and supervised 4 Ph. D. and 30 M. Sci. students in Agricultural Soil and Water Engineering and Soil and Water Conservancy.

He was the editorial board members of Journal of Basic Science and Engineering, The Hans Journal of Soil Science, and Journal of Agricultural Engineering and Biotechnology.
