Dr. Huang Xingfa, Professor
Professor Huang Xingfa was born in Zhejiang Province of China on December 10, 1965. He received the B.S. degree from Beijing Agricultural Engineering University of Agricultural Machinery Design & Manufacturing in 1986 and the Ph.D. degree from Beijing Agricultural Engineering University in 1993. He was as a visiting scientist in Institute of Sustainable Irrigated Agriculture, Victoria, Australia during January to April in 1998.
He became a professor in China Agricultural University in 2006. He was deputy dean of college of Water Resources and Civil Engineering, China Agricultural University from 1994 to 2012. He was appointed as deputy director of Engineering Center of Ministry of Education for Agricultural Water-Saving and Water Resources since 2012.
He is the member of China Association of Agricultural Engineering, the member of Beijing Association of Water Resources and Hydraulics.
His research interests are mainly on the principle and practice of water-saving irrigation and soil water conservation in arid and semi-arid areas. He has published more than 70 papers and 3 books, and supervised 30 M.S. students in water-saving irrigation and soil water conservation. He has developed some equipment for micro-irrigation system, regulated deficit irrigation for fruit trees, and applying the drip irrigation technology to the field crops such as wheat, corn etc.
