Dr. Feng Shaoyuan, born in Duchang City of Jiangxi Province in 1963, is a professor of Hydrological Science and Engineering in Yangzhou University and Ph.D student advisor. Dr. Feng is deputy-director of Professional Committee of Agricultural Soil and Water Engineering of Chinese society of Agricultural Engineering, members of Youth Workers Committee of Chinese Water Conservancy Society, executive director of Beijing Hydrological Society. Dr. Feng was named the National Outstanding Teacher of the Ministry of Water Resources in 1999, selected in the New Century Excellent Talent Program of the MOE in 2004, and received special allowance of the State Council in 2005.
Dr. Feng’s main research interests are water-saving agriculture and soil and water environment. He has been granted over 20 research projects with funding from the National Major Science and Technology Program, the ‘973 Program’, the ‘863 Program’, the National Key Technology Research and Development Program, and NSFC. Dr. Feng has won once the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, once the first prize of Dayu Hydraulic Scientific Technology Award, the first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, twice the Science and Technology Progress Award in water resources of Beijing City. Dr. Feng has published over 120 articles in international and domestic academic journals, of which 16 articles are SCI indexed and 26 EI indexed. Dr. Feng has edited or co-edited 8 monographs or textbooks.
